Our Story
From Historic Motel to Modern Workforce Housing
The Stone Horse Motel has been a beloved landmark in South Harwich for decades. Originally a traditional motel, the property underwent a significant transformation in 2019 when Ronald Rudnick of Chatham purchased the site and replaced the old motel units with two modern dormitory buildings. This change was driven by the need to provide quality seasonal housing for the workforce of local businesses.
In January 2024, the Stone Horse dormitories were acquired by Route 28 Harwich Holdings, LLC, managed by Corcoran Jennison Companies. Known for their ownership of the prestigious Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club in Brewster, Corcoran Jennison Companies brings extensive experience in hospitality and property management to the Stone Horse Motel.
